At D&B, you can "Decide With Confidence"® with DUNSRight®. DUNSRight is the framework and data quality process that brings the culmination of our experience to your business and drives the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of D&B data. Read on to learn the answers to the most frequently asked questions about D&B data quality.
Where does D&B get its data? Is it accurate?
D&B is much more than a data aggregator. To maintain data quality, D&B has patented matching technology to identify and consolidate data from multiple sources into one business file identified by the D&B D-U-N-S Number. The D-U-N-S Number also enables us to link and identify businesses within a corporate family.
DUNSRight is the data quality process that drives the accuracy and completeness of our data and helps turn it into the insight you need to Decide with Confidence. Our information database updates over 1,500,000 times a day. We receive over 1 billion payment and banking experiences annually with more than 140,000,000 business records.

Do all reports have financial statements and trade payment information?
The depth of information in D&B credit-decisioning reports will vary based on information collected directly from the report subject and third party sources, presence or absence of public filings, credit activity of the business and age of business. D&B credit-decisioning reports may or may not contain financial statements, trade information, principal antecedents and/or public filings. Our goal is to provide a level of data that supports a risk management decision. Please see our refund policy for more details.
